Casinos
Add digital signage to the list of items now considered strategic
weapons in the hotly competitive casino market. Taking a cue from
the retail industry, casino operators are seeing that digital
signage is highly effective in attracting attention and creating
motivation among customers that drives sales and revenues to higher
levels. It may seem counterintuitive to introduce yet another
visual stimulus into the casino environment, where in nearly every
corner of a property, the patron is faced with visual messaging
of some type. However, an investment in digital signage promises
returns to casinos that are specifically measurable and can significantly
impact the bottom line.
Among these returns are:
contribution
to visual appeal and customer attraction to the property
increases
in customer interest in particular games or property offerings,
enhanced
ability to react to competitive property offerings and promotions
lower costs
of ownership compared to alternative signage technologies
The primary value proposition of digital signage is the broad
extent to which it can be used across a casino or gaming property.
The lobby drive, guest entrances, registration and check-in, walkways
and corridors, elevator walls, restaurant entrances and interiors,
valet parking even taxi stands; all are areas where people arrive,
congregate, play, wait and transit. Currently, many of these locations
are served by rear-lit transparencies or facings. Each carries
a single message or promotion that must be physically maintained.
This means developing individual content for each facing, physically
installing it, and replacing it with new content as often as needed.
